And here's the exciting part - we are looking for a Senior Events Specialist who is passionate about W, passionate about hospitality, has a flair for sales and a talent for creative event planning.
It is critical that the Senior Events Specialist represents the W lifestyle to our guests and customers. They, like the rest of our talent' are the soul behind the brand and they bring it to life.
Main responsibilities:Working within the sales & events team, this position has the responsibility of selling group & banqueting business for the hotel in line with its revenue goals. This role handles leads from enquiry to contract, and thereafter carries out event planning, invoicing and after sales. The Senior Events Specialist will be part of the events team and reports into the Events Supervisor.Work in accordance with budget guidelines when quoting for business and showcase excellent negotiation skills where needed to close the business'.Participate in all event sales activities to maximize revenues and participate in team incentive goal with achieving at least 100% of the revenue goal.Maintain effective and appropriate communication with clients whilst on property for site inspections and events. Wow the customer W style and Win the business!Proactively solicit new meeting and events accounts as the hotel's targets require. This will consist of telephone solicitation, site inspections, written communication and by building close relationships with the hotels' client base.Ensuring accurate upkeep of event administration, billing details and having an eye for detail.Hold planning meetings with clients to discuss all meeting and accommodation details and actively up sell to maximize revenues.Build close working relationships with operational departments and ensure they are provided with accurate and timely event orders, group and event summaries.Continuously review and improve internal operations methods in own department.
Job Requirements
Requirements:Bachelor degree, pref. Hospitality ManagementExperience (min 1-2 years) in an events position is a must, preferably hotel industrySignificant experience with Opera Sales & CateringExcellent knowledge of Dutch and English languageProfile:
